THE LAST UNICORN

"Once when I was searching
somewhere long ago
far away
in a place I could not find or heart obey
but now that I am a woman
everything has changed
once I was innocent and wise
and full of pain
but now that I am a woman
everything has changed"

The last unicorn was an under the radar phenomenon. It meant so very much to many young girls. It was the sound of our fragile heart beats. It echoed in my mind leaving a deep impression in my soft brain tissue, haunting me even now. what have I retained? What messages can be drawn from Mia Farrow’s trembling voice and that 70’s mural of a forest in which she dwelled? in so many ways it is about the loss of innocence. About being unwillingly transformed into a woman’s body and watching your magic fade and your possibilities narrow. Falling in love with the cutest guy around because you have been wooed and losing your heart and watching your pervious identity fallow. Willing to give up your destined purpose for this new circumstantial love.

but she couldn’t!

She had her own battles to fight, and when she let all her home girls out the water, she went on her path, changed forever. She went on to say she was the first and only unicorn to have felt regret, but she was thankful for it.

like the magic of our own childhoods should be retained. We should not be distracted by adulthood or romance, but our true selves will be much brighter if we can come out of the distractions of those things. The Unicorn has invited us to step out of our watery jail. And that anthem set a million girls free, bravely running back into the world to be as girly as we wish.

PODCAST

The last show i did on 9th Floor Radio was really fun. I am swimming in a good stream, though new to the water like a baby tadpole. splashing around is such sweet bliss.

Because I am no online wizard, all I have to offer is the small request of a young woman to click on the link above. I wish i could give you more, like a really great video, and free lunch and maybe a walk around the lake. Maybe we could have had a great time. I just have this to give you. but it's filled with love.

STATIC

I will do anything to do nothing
I will spend hours avoiding my goals
there is a movie where a man says our true nature is often not what we intend
there is a man who said the lives we live in reality are much different than our true lives
there is a desperation in me
a force
an endless impulse to move
repulsion of completion
make something happen
move move move forever
trapped at work, my brain will move move move
make a billion ideas burning a hole in my head
a million visions to bring to life
so many ideas i cant think about anything else
no room
my rooms a mess
no time
my time is a mess

Thank You, Chelsea Martin

If it were not for Chelsea Martin I might still spend all my free time online-stalking ex-lovers and working endlessly on secret novels. This woman put a bee in my bonnet. She is a brave one, and through viewing her personal alchemy, I am inspired to put my own ideas on display.

By alchemy I mean the act of literally taking prime matter (our theoretical base human state; spattered by imperfections and fearful impulses and doubts) and turning it into literary gold. She is on fire. With reviews in cool slut magazines and blogs, I couldn't be more proud of her.

She has her own cool blog in which she has invited me to post in which you can peep on thee butt, and an online store full of unique items that you may find thru this nice family portrait done by  Wlliam Shultz

She’s invited me to manifest a childhood dream via Universal Error.
A stationary line called “Clutter”. The idea came to me one sleepless night in the 3rd grade. I wanted to take my beloved collection of miniatures to the corner store and throw them on the glass of a nickel-a-print Xerox machine. My plan was to make the print light enough to be able to write over it, thus make my very own stationary. Sort of inspired by I SPY books and YIKES pencils.

Well, anyway. I’m not sure if I would have ever gone through with it if it weren’t for the smart-ass with a heart of gold, my darling friend, Chelsea Martin.

Mad respect, Babe.

DUMP LOVE

I became very frustrated while trying to make a post about the wonderful dump.fm net-artist sight. So, decided to make this stuttering mess mono log declaring my intended message about Dump.

Animated gifs are incredible fun to make and play with. my first adventures on dump were spent just tampering with the juxtapositioning of other peoples dumps, then  learned to produce my own gifs on the easy to use site PHOTOBLASTER (which is best used on Firefox) Me and computers go together like toothpaste and orange juice, yet this process was still fairly user friendly.

The most fascinating things about Dump to me are the hyper speed that people are able to fearlessly post and spin images. A post is seemingly a hit or a miss. If it is a hit you might get several members marking your "dump" as a favorite, in which you are immediately notified by a cute pink heart icon. Also, another cardinal right of a favored dump is having all or part of the post reposted.

Sometimes a repost will be simply accompanied by another image or a dump meme such as

The factors of the popularity of a dump post don’t necessarily depend on the quality of the image posted, but rather who might be online at the moment as well as the relevance of the subject. Repost enough, and people will eventually pick it up and make it there own, or fuck it up in some way. This is a sign of success. Dump is a place where we are allowed to comment on our world in whatever process we arrive to in a moment. The rawness is a genuine liberty.  It is about a hyper-collectivity. And it rules.
